The Ronald Reagan High School Band program is composed of four competitive, performing concert ensembles: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and two Concert Bands. Students audition for placement into these ensembles in the fall and spring semesters.
Concert Band
All four concert ensembles perform at the Holiday concert, MidWinter concert, Spring concert, and the UIL Concert/ Sight Reading Evaluation. The Reagan concert bands consistently earn “Superior” ratings at UIL events. The Wind Ensemble has been competitive in the Texas State Honor Band process and has performed on such stages as the Tobin Performing Arts Center and the 72nd Midwest International Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, IL.
The concert ensembles are where students develop as musicians and artists. The skills developed in these ensembles transfer into the fantastic performances witnessed in chamber ensembles and on the marching field.
