Percussion Ensemble

The Ronald Reagan High School Percussion program is one of immense success and prestige.  The band is proud to have percussion staff of immense talent and experience to guide these students in their musical development as a percussionist.

In the fall, students perform in the nationally recognized Ronald Reagan High School Marching Band either as a member of the Front Ensemble or the Drumline.  Auditions occur in late spring prior to the new school year starting.  Throughout the summer, students attend percussion specific camps to develop the skills needed to be successful at the high school level.

Following marching season, students transition into concert percussion and are exposed to a variety of percussion instruments including but not limited to, steel drum, keyboard and auxiliary instruments.  One of the students and the community’s favorite events is when the students perform in the Steel Drum ensemble at the band’s annual fundraising event, Casino Night, and the Spring Percussion Concert.
